Aurelia: Stellar Arising presents itself as a notable 3D turn-based fleet combat game, allowing players to engage in strategic battles across the Aurelia System. With no advertisements or in-game purchases, the focus remains on gameplay immersion.
Players can choose between two distinct factions and embark on over 77 missions per faction, controlling fleets of up to 9 ships. The game features two comprehensive campaigns, each consisting of 7 phases and 11 missions, providing ample opportunity to earn rewards, unlock new ships, and acquire potent upgrades. In total, there are more than 150 missions designed for players to experience and master.
Aurelia boasts a diverse array of gameplay options, supporting three major modes: Hybrid-Combat, Turn-Based, and Team Turns. Each mission offers five levels of difficulty, catering to a range of player skill levels. The game also allows for extensive customization in campaign and battle settings, with options including Arcade, Balanced, and Simulation modes alongside Basic and Advanced AI configurations. Players can engage in various matchups: Player vs. AI, Player vs. Player, or AI vs. AI.
Moreover, the custom battle mode stands out by offering full customization for user-created scenarios. Players can configure their ideal battles using a variety of 19 deployment settings such as Random, Head-to-Head, or Flanking formations.
The game showcases 20 unique ships across five classes: Gunship, Patrol Craft, Corvette, Frigate, and Destroyer. Each faction features two types per class, enhancing strategic diversity.
Combat efficiency is augmented by 10 unique weapon systems, including Auto-Cannons and Torpedo Launchers, featuring an impressive 100 ballistic configurations to choose from.
Players can manage their fleets through the Fleet Manager, which provides hundreds of formation combinations. The War Factory allows for the purchase of new ships while enabling players to sell those no longer in use. Additionally, the Ship Viewer facilitates ship upgrades with numerous ship-specific enhancements.
